4.2 Sign On

To ensure that the sign on process runs smoothly, we have introduced some rules:

1. The entire sign on process is handled via QR Code using scan&bike. If you don't have a QR Code yet, we strongly recommend that you generate your own

QR Code before you arrive at and stick it on your scorecard. scan & bike® does not store any data about you, data is only stored in the

graphical code and automatically transferred to the organiser's participant list when you register for the event.

2. Those who sign on without a personal QR code must fill in a guest rider registration form giving their personal data. This also applies to holders of score cards !

3. Sign-on for the current day opens in the morning 30 minutes before the earliest possible start.

ATTENTION: One point will be deducted where the rider does not collect a start stamp !

4. Pre-registration for the following day is possible daily from 11:00 a.m. (also on Saturday for the marathon on Sunday).

5. If you have submitted a pre-paid registration, you can use a self-sign-on terminal to access your start card the day before. Simply hold the QR code under the scanner and the start card for the next tour will be printed for you.

6. Pre-registration opens in February 2019.

4.5 Individual mountain time trial

A particular highlight of the Bundes-Radport-Treffen is the uphill fight against the clock. It might sound easy enough to cover a distance

of almost 1,7 km and climb about 100 meters (353 feet), but these figures give no sense of the effort required to complete the course. After a short flat section,

riders will have to prove themselves as mountain goats and conquer the Hambach Castle route. You will get up, but the time taken will be critical.

The Hambach Castle is conquered. Everyone will get to the top, but the time taken is decisive ...

The reward at the top is a breathtaking view out over the Upper Rhine Plain.

Once the award ceremony is complete you must descend via the alternative access road to the castle since the race goes up a one-way street.

Start: Thursday, 26.07.2019, 18:00 o’clock
67434 Hambach, Eichstraße / Schloßstr.
GPS: 49°19'41.6928" North 8°7'16.2192" East
Registration February with the pre-registrations or from 20.07.2019 in the start/finish area.
Route details:

4.6 Sunday after the BRT

On Sunday 28 July 2019, the last Sunday in July, RSV Concordia 1920 Forchheim e.V. traditionally hosts its RTF Durch´s Badnerland.
Use the RSV Concordia’s event to round off the week of the 2019 Bundes-Radsport-Treffen and score some extra points by choosing the longest route which covers approximately 2.480 meters of climbing over 154 km.

6.1 Welcome

Marc Weigel, Mayor of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse

Greeting from the Lord Mayor

Dear riders,
It is a special pleasure for me to welcome the Bundes-Radsport-Treffen 2019 to Neustadt an der Weinstraße. We are pleased

to invite sports enthusiasts from all over Germany and Europe to spend some exhilarating days in Neustadt and to explore this beautiful area by bike.
Our landscape, dominated as it is by winegrowing, offers the perfect starting point for the various cycle routes through our nine wine villages,

the Palatinate Forest, the Vorderpfalz and beyond. In 2019 we think that there is something for everyone: From shorter distances to marathons,

for all performance levels and time budgets. And this week is not just about sports: the event is framed by cultural experiences, with Neustadt as a

wine and pleasure town and the cradle of German democracy having a great deal to offer. One of the tours goes up to the Hambach Castle, the

landmark in our city’s history with its incomparable view out over the Rhine plain. The official welcome will take place on 20.07.2019 in the market

square in the historic old town, where you will find the oldest and largest collection of half-timbered houses in the Palatinate. The city centre invites

you to stroll, recharge your batteries and celebrate as a counterbalance to your sporting achievements. That sounds like an energetic and eventful week

and I am already looking forward to it!

Marc Weigel, Lord Mayor of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse

6.2 Guided Tours

Cycling tours

We offer five guided tours for cyclists covering a maximum of 60 kilometres through the Rhine plain with small detours to the famous

vineyards of the Südpfalz (South Palatinate). Cyclists start daily at 09:30 and we expect to be back around 14:00, depending on the duration

of the break. A mountain bike tour to one of the famous Palatinate Forest huts is also included in the programme.

Cyclists from the TV 1860 Mußbach will lead groups of up to 16 riders along well-developed cycle and farm tracks to sunny places with

beautiful views, to historic sites in the Südpfalz (Palatinate) and of course to famous vineyards.

You can reserve a snack in advance.
