Is the Bundes-Radsport-Treffen a race ?
No, the BRT is a popular sports event, there is no timekeeping. However, for organisational reasons there
is a sufficient time window for each tour.
When, how and where can I register ?
There is an online registration via www.brt2019.de.
Here you can select the individual tours, as well as on which days you would like to go.
For this you get a registration bonus. Registrations are also possible on any event day.
Is there a club competition ?
Yes, participation in the association evaluation is free of charge. Registration must be made in

The registration for the club evaluation will take place on Friday, 26 July 2019 from 14:00 to 17:00 in the start/finish area.
How much does it cost to participate at the BRT ?
The entry fees are staggered and can be viewed on the homepage.
What is included in the entry fee ?
Every participant gets a shirt number and a start card. He is provided with food and drinks at the depots, as well as a route service.
All routes are signposted.
Do I have to be a member of a cycling club ?
No, any adult can participate, children are only allowed to go on the trails if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Will I receive a credit note if I do not can ride along ?
Fees will not be refunded.
Can I pass on my starting number if I cannot participate ?
Yes, but then the personal data must be changed during registration.
Which routes are available ?
Every day there are 3 routes to choose from, namely approx. 40 / 70 and 100 km.
Additionally on Sunday a bike marathon with 202 km and a 150 km distance.
On Saturday, 28.07. a CTF will also be offered.
When do the individual tours start?
Bike marathon from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
RTF daily 8:00 am to 10:00 am (100 km distance only until 9:00 am)
Where can I download GPS data for my tour ?
On www.brt2019.de you can see all routes. The routes are created on gpsies, from where you can also download all routes.
What do I get at the food depots?
Basically drinks in the form of water and juices, bananas, apples, biscuits, bread with different toppings and cakes.
At the bike marathon there is also a warm lunch.
Can I also participate without my own bike ?
Basically there is no possibility to rent a bike on the spot. Our partner www.shop-bellabici.de will have a limited
number of bikes available by appointment.
Is there a supporting programme ?
The supporting programme includes a visit to Hambach Castle, a wine tasting, a visit to a sparkling wine cellar w
ith tasting and a guided tour of the town. A mountain time trial and a demonstration of the RSV Bonlanden cycling
team will show you the diversity of cycling. The young talents of our artistic cyclists will inspire everyone.
Last but not least, entertainment and information will make the afternoon at the school center entertaining.
Which bicycles are allowed ?
Basically you can start with any bike that complies with the traffic regulations.
Are child trailers allowed and must the child also be registered ?
A child trailer is not allowed at RTF/CTF and at the bike marathon.
The risk of accidents when riding in a group is simply too high.
Children's trailers can also be used when cycling (no entry fee).
Is it obligatory to wear a helmet ?
According to point 8 of the general invitation to tender for cycling tours, helmets must be
worn at RTF events. Helmets are also mandatory for mountain time trials.
Will the Federal Cycling Meeting be cancelled in bad weather ?
The Federal Cycling Meeting takes place in all weathers. However, the organizer reserves
the right to change, shorten or completely cancel routes if there is a necessity due to the weather or other events.
What should I have on my bike tours ?
That depends primarily on the weather, but also on the length of the route. Cycling clothes are recommended
and a full drinking bottle is essential. If necessary, rainwear, helmet, breakdown kit, food, mobile phone.
Where can I get medical care in case of accidents and emergencies ?
There is no permanent medical service on the routes. In the event of an emergency or accident, the
emergency number 112 must always be dialled.
Who can help me with a breakdown or if I can't get any further?
On the starting map you will find a sketch of the route and a mobile phone number where you can ask for help.

Who organizes all this ?
The RV Edelweiß Lustadt is responsible for the organisation and realisation of the Federal Cycling Meeting
with the strong participation of the cycling clubs in the Palatinate Cyclists' Federation (Pfälzischer Radfahrerbund).
When and how will I receive further information ?
How do I reach the BRT office?
During the event week daily from 6:00 to 17:00 at the starting point Schulzentrum Am Böbig.
Where can I get something to eat and drink ?
At the start/finish area breakfast is offered in the morning, there are two lunches to choose from,
clubs offer coffee and cake and of course there are drinks of all kinds.
Can I take a shower after the tour ?
There is the possibility to use the showers at the staring point Schulzentrum Böbig.
Are there also souvenirs ?
There is a cycling jersey, cycling shorts and the typical glass of the Palatinate - a Dubbeglas
with the logo of the BRT 2019. Glass and cycling jersey can be ordered with the registration.
If ordered in time, the jersey will be issued on Saturday, 20.07. from 12 noon.
Is it possible to sleep in a tent ?
No problem. At the airport Lachen-Speyerdorf there are enough places for campers and caravans.
There is also the possibility to camp on a meadow.
